This Avalon Hill Bookcase Game has players trying to publish books by playing word cards. Some spaces around the edge of the board allow you to play synonyms, other places antonyms. Each word card has a main word and four enumerated other associated words. In the middle of the board are four enumerated spaces. If you are on a synonym space and have a word card with, for example, a synonym as word 2, and the centre board space 2 is available, you may play your card to that space. If you fill the last centre spot, you "publish a book." The goal of the game is to be the first player to either publish 10 books or have $100,000.
Stamped with "Property of Sheridan Library" in rules and inside of box. There's also a label on the spine that says "COMM. DEPT."
All of the pieces are present and in good shape, though the box is worn.
