Also known by the name Horse Race, or a variety of others, Steeplechase (or Steeple Chase) has a history going back to the 1700s. Based on the steeplechase type of horse races, players control horses and roll the die to move along the track, hoping to avoid obstacles and land on short cuts. The first horse to the end of the track wins.
This copy was published by the Canada Games Company in 1993.
The box had multiple split corners, which have been fixed with long-lasting transparent book tape. There is a mark on the board (see photo).

Player pawns are same shape, different colours. We'd be happy to swap those out for different shaped ones if you ask.
Board has lots of small squares with low contrast.
Moving ahead is based solely on the roll of a die, so players may get frustrated if they repeatedly roll low numbers.
