Each player is a Knight of the Round Table, and they work together to complete quests by trading and playing cards from their hands. Except there may be a traitor (or two) in their midst. Every time a quest is completed, either successfully or not, swords are added to the round table - white swords for success and black for failure. When every sword space on the round table is filled, if more than half of them are white, the loyal knights win. Otherwise the traitor(s) win.
If the loyal knights determine somebody to be a traitor, they may accuse that knight. If correct, this adds white swords and limits the traitor's abilities. If incorrect, however, it adds black swords and the traitor is still at large.
Quests include:
Acquiring Excalibur
Facing the traitorous Sir Lancelot (once completed, this quest board flips to become a fight against a dragon!)
Acquiring the Holy Grail
Defending the shores from invading Saxons and Picts
Defending Camelot itself from siege engines
Tournament against the Black Knight
Some of the minis have been skillfully painted. There is also a mark on the bottom of the main board, though this does not impact gameplay at all. (see photos)
